Village Park Restaurant - The Best Nasi Lemak in Malaysia

When you ask the Malaysian what are the Malaysia food, the first answer of 8 out of 10 Malaysian will be Nasi Lemak. Nasi Lemak is the Malaysian true favorite food; it can serve and eaten by them any time of a day for . A simple plate of Nasi Lemak will contain the rice fragrant with coconut, sambal(chilli paste with onion), peanut, dry anchovies, egg and cucumber. You can top up the Nasi Lemak with fried chicken, curry chicken, sambal udang(prawn with sambal), sambal sotong(octopus with sambal) and others. The rice and sambal are the backbone for the whole Nasi Lemak; Nasi Lemak will not be tasty if one of this didn’t sustain well.

Nasi Lemak can easily found in everywhere of Malaysia. Therefore, we decided to introduce the best Nasi Lemak in Malaysia through this post. The best Nasi Lemak that we found out is located at Damansara Uptown, named Village Park Restaurant.

Why we say it is the best Nasi Lemak? The picture below will speak the reason that why this restaurant Nasi Lemak is worth for trying and introduce.

This restaurant had been introduced and interview by many local famous newspapers and magazines.

Besides that, this restaurant also won The Best Nasi Lemak in Klang Valley 2010 award by FriedChilies and Blogger’s Choice award by TimeOut Kuala Lumpur.

There are many famous celebrities tried the Nasi Lemak at this restaurant.

Not only had the celebrities tried the food at this restaurant before, Malaysia Prime Minister, YB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak also visited this restaurant before.

Furthermore, Malaysia 4th Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad also tried the Nasi Lemak at this restaurant before.

Village Park restaurant is always full house every day. Sometimes the customer might need to queue and wait in order to get a sit in the restaurant.

There are no reasons for Village Park restaurant not to become the best Nasi Lemak restaurant in Malaysia.

This is the main things for this restaurant and this post – Village Park Restaurant Nasi Lemak with fried chicken. Overall for the whole dish was good, just the appearance for the dish doesn’t look that nice. This restaurant manage to sustain the rice of Nasi Lemak very well, the rice is soft and fragrant. Besides that, the sambal taste spicy with a little bit of sweetness. The rice and the sambal are the perfect matches in this dish. While the fried chicken is fry until just nice, the skin of the chicken is crispy and the meat taste a little bit salty.  This plate of Nasi Lemak with fried chicken cost RM 8.00, we personally think that the price is reasonable and worth for the price.

There are many variety of Malaysia food that you also can order with a reasonable price in this restaurant too.

Out of 5 stars, I rate this restaurant with 4 stars. The environment and the food appearances still can be improve. The distance between the tables and chairs are too near, not easy for the people to walk and is not comfortable for the customer to dine in too. Besides that, the location of this restaurant is not strategic, because it is not easy to find parking at Damansara Uptown, especially during lunch time. Moreover, they can improve the food appearances by arrange the food nicely on the plate and make it more interesting.

I highly recommended this restaurant to those people who want to eat the best and original Nasi Lemak in Malaysia
