After I moving out from my hometown to Damansara, one of my
favorite lunch dishes is pan mee (Hokkien style flat flour noodle).
Pan mee is a traditional food of Hokkien. JoJo Little Kitchen is well known for
delicious pan mee in the town.
The restaurant is not very big, hence on
weekends you might find that you have to queue for a table during lunch hours.
On weekdays however, getting a table here is a breeze. The restaurant divided
into two areas, which is smoking area and non-smoking area. I like the idea
because there are customers like me, that don’t like to enjoy our lunch in a
polluted atmosphere.

There is quite a huge variety of pan mee on offer here, but I ordered what I usually have at other pan mee shops, the Dry Chilli Pan Mee (RM6.30). It met my expectations of a good bowl of pan mee. The noodles were springy, one had a choice of thin or thick noodles. The noodles was topped with flavorsome-minced pork, crunchy ikan bilis (anchovies), poached egg, a sourish green chilli paste and their signature spicy chilli flakes. The thought of the poached egg coating each strand of noodles accompanied by the spicy chilli paste/flakes is very appealing to me.

If you like your pan mee with an extra kick, you can add more of their signature chilli flakes which is provided at every table. There are also two other types of chilli, the sourish green chilli paste and sambal.
The service here is good, and they serve all the food very
quickly like within 10 minutes. So it is a very good place to go especially in
lunch hour/peak hour. People will not waste too much time in waiting their
food. The price of the noodles is around RM6 for each portion, it is affordable.
One thing I must mention here, their food has been
recommended by a famous artist in a TV program that talking about delicious
food in Malaysia. The TV program is shown on Astro.
Pan Mee is one of the favorite food for Malaysia Chinese,
and it definitely in my top 10 list. Unfortunately it is a Non-Halal food, if
it is a Halal food, I would recommend to my Malay friends. Last but not least, I'll rate 4 out of 5 for their food and service.
